The first FilmPride festival, presented by Latest Group CIC in partnership with Brighton & Hove Pride and supported by Peter Tatchell, showcased a number of sold out, not-to-be missed events:
Sunday 28th July:
Shorts Out! – the LGBTQ+ short film festival, screening the best global LGBTQ+ short films, animations and documentaries, under the themes of Family, Self and Love.
Monday 29th July:
“Queer but Here” – campaigning kids on TV with the Longhill School LGBTU
The best moments from the Longhill School Youth LGBTU Group’s chat show, where they interviewed prominent local LGBTQ+ figures.

Tuesday 30th July:
Drag Queens are More Political than Ever – drag queen Jason Sutton in conversation with Mike Mendoza, followed by the live recording of “Miss Jason’s House Party – the Great British Gadabout”, to be broadcast on Brighton & Hove’s Latest TV
Wednesday 31st July:
BANNED – feature film festival showcasing the work of international filmmakers who have been imprisoned because of their films (screenings at 6pm, 8pm & 10pm)
Thursday 1st August:
LGBT Pride Quiz
Friday 2nd August:
Indigo Club – award-winning live music and comedy, hosted by Hannah Brackenbury
Sunday 4th August:
Peter Tatchell: Activist – premiere of a new documentary about the human rights campaigner of our time, followed by a Q&A
Followed by:
Lesbian Legends – the Story of Siren – premiere of a new documentary featuring the local 70s punk group, followed by their performance (9pm)
